Hello September!

Welcome to September! The kids are back to school, the weather is beautiful... there is so much to enjoy this month.  In August we asked you to lean into enjoyment of your yoga + meditation practices. September seems like the perfect time to capture that back to school energy. So we're spending the month vibing with ALWAYS BE LEARNING. What does that mean? Lot's of opportunities to learn something new, refresh or revive a part of your practice or lean into a skill you may have left behind in the pandemic. 

Our favorite pose this month: TRIANGLE (trikonasana). See how different teachers explore this pose + how your body feels in different contexts. Standing, on the wall, on the floor... It's an adventure in yoga to enjoy! Maybe notice how a shift of your arms, or a different press into your feet changes how it feels! 

Back to school can also mean a steep increase in STRESS. Beat burnout by mindfully prioritizing your wellness. It might be one class a week or a daily 5 minute meditation. If you can plan ahead and create habits, you'll be better able to get control of how your body (and mind) reacts in moments of challenge. Not sure where to start? Events, they're our FAVORITE! There is so much on deck this month.  Happy Hour Yoga continues this month. Each happy hour we’re rotating through different styles of class so you can experience all the different styles we offer. It’s a great way to explore yoga and then hit the town to enjoy your weekend.

We’re also adding more opportunities to relax into your weekend. Join us for our monthly Nidra + Sound experience, now on Sundays. In this deeply relaxing guided meditation with crystal bowl tones, you’ll help your body heal from and release stress. Sunday, 9/12 at 5:30pm.

Birds of a Feather workshop - learn to float + fly with Marina! We'll explore 5 poses named after birds, as well as learn strategies to prep your body to invert and rise in these poses! Saturday, 9/18 at 2pm. 

Want to build a stronger base of knowledge for your yoga practice or know someone who is new + wants to get more comfortable? Vinyasa Foundations is back! Join us Saturday 9/18 + 25 for this yoga basics series. 

Community Conversations continues with an education focus! We'll be chatting with Angela Balang, M.Ed, M.A. and District 70 Board Member on education, wellness in our schools and navigating constant change with grace. Wednesday, 9/29 @ 7:30pm on IG. We are so looking forward to these intimate discussion to better get to know our favorite change makers and connectors in the community.
