Summer is here and you might question why we keep hot and warm classes on the schedule… there is a method to the madness, promise.
Although we do dial back the temperatures by a few degrees, we believe it is important for you body to continue to experience the warmth. When taking a heated yoga class, especially in our radiant heat that warms from the inside out, your body experiences many amazing benefits. Unlike traditional heated studios where the furnace is simply cranked up, radiant heat warms your joints and muscles first instead of the top layers down. You benefit from better, safer movements and it feels amazing.
Next is the detox factor. Heated yoga classes help your body to naturally detox. If you’re feeling sluggish from the BBQs and meals at the beach, yoga is the perfect compliment to keep you feeling your best. We always feel more energized after a hot or warm practice.
Finally, continuing with a heated practice during the summer helps your body acclimate to the outside heat more quickly. So when temps soar to the high 90s, you will feel less impacted and struggle less to be comfortable.
